Employees of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust cannot name a romantic partner as a pension beneficiary. This is according to Mr Frank Molbila, the General Manager in charge of Benefits.
The Trust has stated that only blood relations are permitted to be nominated. This rule applies to all members of the scheme.
The clarification aims to prevent misuse of the pension benefits system. It ensures that funds are distributed according to established guidelines.
Mr Molbila provided this information during a recent engagement.
