The Social Security and National Insurance Trust has stated that individuals cannot register partners, such as a boyfriend or girlfriend, as beneficiaries for pension funds. This clarification comes from Mr Frank Molbila, the General Manager in-charge of Benefits.

Mr Molbila explained that only blood relations can be nominated to receive benefits from the Trust. This rule applies to all employees and members of the social security scheme.

The information was shared to ensure clarity regarding the nomination of beneficiaries. It underscores the importance of adhering to the established guidelines for pension fund distribution.
