The Social Security and National Insurance Trust has clarified who can be named as a pension beneficiary. The Trust announced that partners outside of blood relations cannot be registered.

Mr Frank Molbila, the General Manager in charge of Benefits, explained the policy. He stated that only blood relations are permitted to be named as beneficiaries.

This information was shared during an event discussing the Trust's operations. The clarification aims to prevent confusion regarding pension claims.

The Trust manages retirement benefits for formal sector employees. Ensuring beneficiaries are correctly identified is crucial for proper fund disbursement.

Members are encouraged to update their beneficiary details. This ensures their wishes are followed upon their passing.
