The Acting Rent Commissioner, Frederick Opoku, has publicly criticized key state institutions for their apparent lack of engagement in enforcing rent laws across Ghana. He expressed disappointment over the absence of responses to official requests for collaboration.
Opoku revealed that letters were dispatched months ago to the Bank of Ghana, the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), and the Ghana Police Service, seeking their partnership in upholding rent regulations. However, he stated that none of these institutions have yet responded or indicated any willingness to work towards a joint effort.
