Police officers in Odumase Krobo acted with integrity recently. They seized a large amount of suspected fake US dollar notes.
The fake money was found hidden inside a metal trunk. This occurred in the Odumase Laasi area.
Authorities discovered 105 bundles of these suspected counterfeit US dollars. The discovery followed an operation by the police.
Those found with the fake money attempted to bribe the police. They offered GH¢200,000 to try and avoid arrest.
The police department has confirmed that the bribe was refused. Officers upheld their duty and rejected the money.
The suspects are now in police custody. Investigations into the origins of the fake currency are continuing.
