Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority, has stated that he observes deliberate attempts to suggest something is wrong with the sale of 18 tonnes of Ghana’s gold.
He welcomes efforts to look into the matter.
However, Tameklo dismissed suggestions that anything improper occurred during the gold sale.
He explained that investigations into such issues often serve to clear up misunderstandings and concerns.
This would allow all concerns surrounding the transaction to be fully addressed.
Tameklo's comments came in response to public discussions about the gold sale.
He emphasized the importance of a proper review process.
