Dela Edem, a communicator for the National Democratic Congress, has asked the government to sell Ghana's current presidential aircraft. He believes the money raised could be used to help with national development.

Edem made his suggestion on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem program. He stated that the country's Dassault Falcon 900 jet was recently sent to France for its yearly maintenance.

He proposed that selling the jet would be a good way to get money for important national projects. This would help the country before looking into buying another plane.

The purchase and upkeep of presidential aircraft have often been topics of public discussion. Edem's call highlights a focus on resource allocation for development by his party.

No official response from the government regarding this suggestion has been reported.
