A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suggested selling the country's presidential jet. Dela Edem, an NDC communicator, stated this proposal on Adom FM.
He believes the proceeds from the sale could be used to fund important national development projects.
Edem added that this should happen before the government considers buying a new aircraft.
Ghana's current presidential jet is a Dassault Falcon 900.
This aircraft was recently sent to France for its annual maintenance.
Edem's comments were made during a discussion on the program Dwaso Nsem.
This proposal highlights a debate about government spending priorities.
Funding for development projects remains a key concern for many Ghanaians.
