A politician from the National Democratic Congress NDC, Dela Edem, has called for the sale of Ghana's presidential jet. He believes the money raised could be used for important development projects across the country.

Edem spoke on a radio program where he made this suggestion. He stated that the plan should be to sell the current aircraft first.

The current presidential jet is a Dassault Falcon 900. It was recently sent to France for its yearly service.

Edem believes that using the proceeds from selling the jet would benefit Ghanaians. He suggested this should happen before the government considers purchasing a new aircraft.
