Dela Edem, an official for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has suggested the government sell Ghana's presidential jet. He believes the money raised could be used to fund important national development projects.

Edem stated this while speaking on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem program.

He specifically mentioned the current presidential aircraft, a Dassault Falcon 900.

This jet was recently sent to France for its yearly maintenance, according to Edem.

The NDC communicator feels the proceeds from selling the jet should support development initiatives across the country.

His proposal comes before any potential acquisition of a new presidential aircraft.
