Ebenezer Ghartey, who was serving as a National Service Personnel at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority DVLA, has been arrested and charged by the police. He is accused of stealing a significant amount of money.

The alleged theft involved unauthorized transfers of GH¢308,300 through mobile money. The money reportedly belonged to a DVLA officer.

Ghartey is said to have used the stolen funds to purchase items. These included a Hyundai Elantra vehicle and a television set.

The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest and subsequent charging of the suspect. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.

Ghartey appeared before a court to face the charges. The court has taken legal action based on the evidence presented.
