Kwame Asare Obeng, the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, has spoken out against people allegedly selling positions in the country's security agencies. He stated that these practices prevent qualified individuals from joining the forces.
The MP also expressed concerns about government plans to create markets as part of the proposed 24-hour economy initiative. He warned that this could lead to new forms of illegal activity.
Obeng, also known as A Plus, threatened to reveal details of corrupt dealings if the practice of selling recruitment slots continues. He made these statements on March 25, 2026.
