Deputy Minority Leader Patricia Appiagyei has denied claims made in a forged memorandum. The document falsely stated she received and returned GHC70,000.

Appiagyei, who is also the Asokwa MP, issued a statement on September 4, 2026. She confirmed the memo was not from her.

The fake memo suggested the money was linked to the vetting of nominees. Appiagyei stated the claims are untrue.

She is now consulting with lawyers. Appiagyei intends to take legal action against those responsible for creating and spreading the false document.

The Asokwa MP warned that individuals behind the fabrication will face consequences.

She believes the memo is an attempt to divide the Minority. Appiagyei asserted that such plots will not succeed.
