The Minority in Ghana's Parliament is calling for the refund of GH¢113 million.

This money was collected from people who applied to join security services but did not qualify.

John Ntim Fordjour, speaking for the Minority, told reporters that the government has unfairly taken money from unemployed young people.

He stated that the fees were taken during the recent recruitment drive for the security services.

The Minority wants the government to return the money to the applicants.

They believe the practice of charging these fees is exploitative.

A formal demand for the refund has been made as of Thursday, March 12, 2026.

The government has not yet responded to this demand.
