Former Trade Minister Kobina Tahir Hammond has publicly challenged the Auditor-General. He calls allegations of a GH¢89.4 million fictitious debt concerning the One District One Factory program baseless.

Hammond stated these claims are an attempt to damage his good name.

He has formally requested the withdrawal of the report from Ghana's Parliament.

The former minister warned that if the report is not removed, he will pursue legal action.

The controversy surrounds findings presented in a Bank Transfer Advice document.
