Former Minister for Trade and Industry Kobina Tahir Hammond has reacted strongly to a report detailing alleged fictitious debt.

The report links a sum of GH¢89.4 million to the government's One District One Factory program.

Hammond described the allegation as preposterous and a deliberate effort to damage his reputation.

He has issued a stern warning to the Attorney General and Minister for Justice, who he identified as Ato, and the Auditor General.

Hammond is demanding that the report submitted to Parliament be withdrawn.

Failure to withdraw the report, he stated, would lead to legal action against the officials involved.

The controversy stems from findings contained in a Bank Transfer Advice.

This situation highlights ongoing scrutiny of government financial dealings and programs.
