Kofi Bentil, the Vice President of IMANI Africa, has strongly criticized the sale of 18 tonnes of Ghana's gold. He described the transaction as wild.
Bentil stated that this decision is likely to cost Ghana more than one billion dollars. He questioned the financial judgment behind such a move.
He highlighted that no sensible government would make a decision that results in such a significant financial loss for a developing nation.
Bentil suspects that the gold sale might be a shady deal.
