The Institute for Energy Security wants the government to temporarily stop charging the Price Stabilisation and Recovery Levy. This levy adds to the cost of fuel at the pump.

Global oil prices are currently rising. This makes fuel more expensive for everyone in Ghana.

The Institute for Energy Security believes suspending the levy will reduce the financial strain on citizens during this period of high global oil prices.

The government has not yet responded to the call for suspension.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
