A special committee has finished looking into claims of wrong and high charges at two major hospitals. These hospitals are the Greater Accra Regional Hospital and Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The committee found that some staff members did not follow the rules. They charged patients more money than they were supposed to for medical services.
This investigation was started because many people complained about these extra charges.
The committee's report has now been given to the Ministry of Health. The report suggests that some hospital workers should face consequences.
The Ministry of Health will now decide what actions to take based on the committee's findings.
This action is meant to ensure fair treatment for all patients using public health facilities.
It also aims to stop unethical practices within the hospitals.
The committee was led by Dr. Inua and included seven members.
