A team looked into reports of unfair charges at two major hospitals. These hospitals are the Greater Accra Regional Hospital and Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The committee found that some unethical practices did occur concerning patient fees. These charges were reportedly higher than allowed.

The findings have now been given to the Ministry of Health. The committee recommended that disciplinary measures be taken against some staff members.

The seven-member committee was asked to investigate these claims thoroughly. Their work focused on ensuring fair treatment of patients.

The Ministry of Health will now review the committee’s report. They will decide on the appropriate actions based on the recommendations.

This investigation matters because it affects how hospital patients are treated and charged for services.
