A group looked into claims of wrong medical charges at two major hospitals in Accra. These charges were reportedly higher than allowed.
The committee studied what happened at Greater Accra Regional Hospital and Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. It aimed to find out if staff acted unethically.
The investigation found that some wrong practices did occur. This means patients may have been made to pay too much.
Based on its findings, the committee has presented a report. This report suggests that some hospital staff should face disciplinary action.
The Ministry of Health received the report. It will now decide what steps to take next.
The committee was chaired by Dr. Inua. Its work focused on ensuring fair practices for patients.
