A committee looked into claims of extra charges at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital and Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. These charges were for services not approved. The committee found that some staff were involved in unethical practices.

The seven-member committee presented its findings to the Ministry of Health. Dr. Inua led the committee during its investigation.

The investigation focused on allegations of patients paying too much for medical services. This happened at two major public hospitals in Accra.

Based on its findings, the committee recommended disciplinary actions. These actions will be against some of the hospital staff.

The Ministry of Health will now review the report. It will decide on the next steps regarding the staff involved.

This action aims to ensure fair billing practices in public health facilities. It also seeks to uphold ethical standards for healthcare workers.
