A special team from Ghana Water Limited (GWL) in Tema has found a serious problem. They discovered a large pipe illegally connected to the water system in the Tema Industrial Area.

This illegal connection was used to steal treated water. The stolen water was then sold to drivers operating water tanker trucks.

Authorities have identified a suspect in this case. The suspect is Nana Sarpong, who allegedly ran his operation under a company called Naspon Limited.

This illegal activity involved tapping into a main water line without permission. The GWL task force took action to stop the theft and remove the connection.

This discovery highlights efforts to protect water resources and prevent illegal activities that harm public services.

The Ghana Water Limited task force is continuing its work to find and stop similar illegal connections across the country.
