The Ghana Gold Board, known as GoldBod, has agreed to spend GH¢27.5 million. This money will be used by the Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA).

The GGSA will conduct geological investigations. These investigations will focus on areas named Funsi, Atuna, and Bensere East. These places have valuable minerals.

This partnership is the first part of a bigger plan. The plan seeks to make mining in Ghana more data-driven. Reliable information is key to making good decisions about mining resources.

The agreement was signed yesterday. It is expected to help the mining sector a lot.

This initiative will generate credible data about Ghana's mineral wealth.

Better data can lead to more responsible and efficient mining operations.
