The Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry has warned that projected fuel price increases could negatively impact recent progress in reducing inflation.
The organization stated that higher fuel costs might undo the efforts that have led to a falling inflation rate.
Data from the Ghana Statistical Service shows inflation stood at 3.3 percent as of February 2026.
This figure represents the lowest inflation rate recorded in many years.
It also marks the fourteenth consecutive month that inflation has decreased.
The Chamber's warning highlights the sensitivity of the economy to fuel prices and their broad impact.
