Ghana has signed an agreement with Belgium to restructure its national debt. This is part of the country's plan to fix its public finances.
The deal follows a tough economic period for Ghana in 2022 and 2023. The Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, spoke at the signing ceremony.
He mentioned how difficult things were for Ghana during the recent economic crisis.
The agreement was signed on March 24, 2026.
