Kwame Andy Appiah-Kubi, who used to represent Asante Akim North, believes the GH¢8.1 billion in fake debts is stealing.
He made this statement following findings in a report by the Auditor-General.
Mr. Appiah-Kubi insists that the people involved in creating these fake debts should be found.
He says they must be prosecuted for stealing, not just corruption.
The former lawmaker stressed that the specific crime of stealing should be identified.
He also called for legal action based on the exact nature of the offense.
