Kow Abaka Essuman, a former legal counsel to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has demanded payment of his outstanding salary arrears and terminal benefits. Essuman's tenure ended in January 2025.

He has given the Finance Ministry a deadline of September 11 to settle the payments. Essuman stated that he will take legal action if the money is not paid by this date.

The former legal advisor claims the payments are owed to him following the conclusion of his service.

Essuman served as a key legal advisor during the President's term.

The Finance Ministry has not yet publicly responded to the demand.

This situation highlights potential administrative delays in settling final dues for former government appointees.
