Investigative journalist Seth Bokpe has spoken out against the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice CHRAJ.

He stated that CHRAJ is not doing enough to make sure public officials follow the law about declaring their assets.

This follows a recent investigation that found many important government workers have not submitted their asset declarations as required by the constitution.

Mr Bokpe believes CHRAJ has a duty to ensure these declarations are made and checked properly.

Failure to declare assets can be a serious issue for public trust and accountability.

The investigation highlighted a widespread problem of non-compliance among those in high public office.

Mr Bokpe’s comments suggest a need for stronger action from CHRAJ to uphold these important transparency rules.
