Sulemana Braimah, Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa, has raised concerns about government contracts. He questioned whether the current administration is following through on its commitment to stop the misuse of sole-sourced contracts.

Mr Braimah suggested that the effectiveness of this promise will become clear in the near future. He highlighted that the abuse of sole-sourced and restrictive tendering processes can lead to the misuse of state resources.

The executive director pointed out that such practices can have significant negative impacts on public finance management. He urged for greater transparency and accountability in the awarding of government contracts.
