The Bank of Ghana has taken steps to lower the nation's inflation rate. Governor Johnson Pandit Asiama announced that intervention measures have been successful.
These measures involved managing the amount of money in circulation. A total of GH₵17 billion was used in these efforts.
Inflation has dropped sharply. It was 23.8% in the year 2024.
By February 2026, the inflation rate decreased to 3.3%. This is a significant reduction.
The Governor also reported that these actions helped stabilize the Ghanaian currency. The cedi strengthened against other currencies.
Additionally, the country's foreign exchange reserves have increased. This improves the nation's financial standing.
