The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Johnson Pandit Asiama, has announced new plans to boost the bank's finances. These strategies are part of ongoing efforts to stabilize the economy.
One main strategy involves reinvesting money from domestic securities. These are like loans the bank gives to the government or other institutions within Ghana.
Foreign reserve assets will also be reinvested upon maturity. These are assets held in foreign currencies, like US dollars or Euros, to manage Ghana's international trade and payments.
Dr Asiama outlined at least six measures. These are designed to make the Bank of Ghana financially stronger over the next few years.
The bank aims to improve its overall financial standing through these coordinated actions.
This initiative supports the wider economic recovery and stability goals of the nation.
