Former National Signals Bureau Director-General Kwabena Adu-Boahene did not move money from a UMB Operations account to a company owned by his wife. This was stated by an Economic and Organised Crime Office investigator.
The investigator, Frank Marshall Cromwell, told the court that GH¢1.5 million was not transferred to Advantage Solutions Limited. This company belongs to Adu-Boahene’s wife, Angel Adjei-Boateng.
The funds in question were later traced to Mayfair Gardens. The court heard that the money did not go through the company before being linked to Mayfair Gardens.
This information came out during proceedings related to the UMB Operations account. The account is at the center of a case involving GH¢49.1 million.
