A chartered accountant has proposed creating professorial positions in Ghana's teaching hospitals.

Gabriel Nyame, who works at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, believes this move will boost medical education.

He stated that teaching hospitals are very important for the country's health care and for training medical students.

These hospitals also provide necessary training for nurses, radiographers, sonographers, and other health professionals.

Mr. Nyame feels that having professors would ensure high standards of teaching and patient care.

He suggested this change would help retain skilled medical educators within Ghana's health system.

The accountant shared his views on improving the quality of medical training and services.

His proposal aims to strengthen the foundation of medical education in the nation's key health institutions.
