A Chartered Accountant has called for the creation of professorial positions within Ghana’s teaching hospitals.
Mr. Gabriel Nyame, who works at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, believes these roles are important for the future of medical education.
He stated that teaching hospitals are key to the nation's healthcare system and train many health professionals.
These include doctors, nurses, radiographers, and sonographers.
Mr. Nyame suggested that having professors would further strengthen these institutions.
He indicated this could lead to better research and advanced medical practices.
This proposal aims to enhance the quality of medical training and healthcare services offered to Ghanaians.
The accountant's views highlight a desire for continuous improvement in Ghana’s health sector facilities.
