Gabriel Nyame, a chartered accountant working at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, believes teaching hospitals in Ghana should have professorial positions established.
He stated that teaching hospitals are very important for providing healthcare and training medical professionals in Ghana.
These hospitals train doctors, nurses, radiographers, sonographers, and other health workers.
Mr. Nyame suggested that having professors would help improve the quality of training and research.
He explained that these positions would attract skilled medical educators.
This could lead to better healthcare services for the public.
The establishment of such roles is seen as a way to strengthen the medical education system.
It would also support the ongoing development of healthcare in Ghana.
