Two alleged armed robbers have died following a confrontation with the police. The incident occurred on the Obuasi-Dunkwa highway.
The Ghana Police Service reported that officers engaged a group of four suspected robbers who were operating on the road.
During the shootout, two of the suspects sustained serious injuries. They later died from these injuries.
The police were responding to reports of armed robbery activities along the corridor.
Investigations into the incident by the Ghana Police Service are underway.
The remaining two members of the alleged gang are currently being sought by the police.
Authorities are urging the public to provide any information that could assist in apprehending the other suspects.
