Three people have died after a mining pit collapsed at Odumase-Santenso in the Ashanti Region. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon.
The victims were two women and one man. They were all young adults, between 21 and 25 years old.
The collapse happened in the Asante Akyem Central Municipality.
Local authorities have begun an investigation into the cause of the pit collapse.
