Police have arrested three people in the Savannah Region. They are suspected of involvement in murders and assaults that happened in Gbiniyiri.

The arrests were made by the IGP’s Special Intelligence Team working with the Savannah Regional Police Command. The three suspects are Yaw Bamuah, Yaa Bokaa and Kuma Simpor.

They were arrested on March 14, 2026. The police have not yet named the victims.

During police questioning, Yaw Bamuah said he was part of the incidents. The police said this in a statement.

The investigation into the events at Gbiniyiri is ongoing. The police are also looking for four other people they believe are connected to the crimes.

Authorities are continuing their work to understand the full scope of the violence. More information is expected as the investigation progresses.
