The IGP’s Special Intelligence Team, working with the Savannah Regional Police Command, has arrested three people. They are suspected of being involved in murder and causing harm.
The arrests happened in Gbiniyiri in the Savannah Region. The suspects were apprehended on March 14, 2026.
The arrested individuals are Yaw Bamuah, Yaa Bokaa, and Kuma Simpor. They were taken in for questioning.
During interrogation, Yaw Bamuah admitted to being part of the incidents. This admission was made to the police.
Further investigation by the Ghana Police Service is underway to understand the full extent of the crimes.
The authorities aim to bring all perpetrators to justice.
This action addresses the recent violence that has affected the community of Gbiniyiri.
