The Northern Regional Police Command has launched an intensive manhunt for two unidentified gunmen following an armed robbery in Tamale on Monday afternoon. According to reports from MyJoyOnline and Citi Newsroom the incident occurred when two individuals on a motorcycle targeted a mobile money vendor and discharged a firearm at the scene of the crime.

A bystander sustained injuries during the attack and was subsequently rushed to a medical facility for treatment. The Ghana Police Service indicated that the suspects managed to escape with an undisclosed amount of cash before law enforcement officers could arrive at the location. Security officials have since cordoned off the area to gather forensic evidence and record statements from eyewitnesses.

Witnesses told Daily Guide Network that the gunmen operated with speed and precision during the daytime operation which caused panic among residents in the vicinity. The victim of the shooting is reportedly in stable condition while the mobile money vendor is cooperating with investigators.
