Police in the Bono East Region have arrested six people. They are accused of robbing a businessman on the Portor-Gulumpe Highway.
The robbery happened on the evening of July 19, 2026. The police recovered GH¢300,000. This is the full amount that was allegedly stolen.
The Ghana Police Service stated that the victim's driver is suspected of planning the crime. He is accused of giving information to the other suspects.
The arrests were made by the Bono East Regional Police Command. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
