The Ghana Police Service reported that two suspected members of an armed robbery gang were killed during a confrontation in the North Industrial Area in Accra. According to an official statement from the police hierarchy the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning when officers responded to a distress call regarding an ongoing warehouse robbery.

Police officials stated that the suspects opened fire upon seeing the patrol team which resulted in a swift exchange of gunfire.
