Police in Accra have recovered GH¢140,000 and an AK-47 assault rifle. This happened after an armed robbery attack on a mobile money vendor in Lashibi.
The robbery resulted in one suspected robber being shot dead by police. Another suspect managed to escape from the scene.
The stolen money was abandoned by the fleeing suspect. He reportedly dropped it after his accomplice was killed.
The mobile money vendor, the target of the robbery, was not harmed during the incident. The Ghana Police Service is continuing its investigation.
