Law enforcement officials in the Central Region have launched an extensive manhunt for a group of unidentified gunmen linked to a violent confrontation in Kasoa. The incident occurred during a dispute over land ownership which escalated when the suspects allegedly opened fire at the scene.

According to preliminary reports from the Ghana Police Service three individuals sustained various degrees of injury during the exchange. Medical personnel are currently treating the victims while investigators gather forensic evidence from the site of the shooting.

The police administration has deployed additional personnel to the Kasoa area to prevent the possibility of retaliatory attacks or further communal instability. Security patrols have been increased across known flashpoints within the district to provide reassurance to panicked residents.

Investigators are currently working to identify the specific individuals responsible for discharging the firearms. No arrests have been made at this stage however authorities have urged members of the public to provide any information that could lead to the location of the suspects.

The police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining the rule of law and have cautioned residents against taking matters into their own hands. Formal statements are being taken from witnesses to establish the exact sequence of events that led to the discharge of weapons.
