Police in the Ashanti South Region have ended the activities of a gang who carried out armed robberies. This happened after police received information about their operations.

The criminal gang was active along the road connecting Obuasi and Dunkwa. Police began their operations on March 10 and continued until March 11, 2026.

During the police operation, there was a gunfight. Two suspects involved in the robberies were killed.

Authorities also seized guns and ammunition from the suspects during the operation.

Several other individuals were arrested in connection with the illegal arms network. The Ghana Police Service is continuing its investigations.

This action by the police has helped disrupt a network involved in illegal weapons and robberies.
