The Ghana Police Service released a statement confirming the arrest of two individuals suspected of involvement in the murder of a local businesswoman in Kumasi. The incident occurred during an alleged robbery within the Ashanti Region where the victim sustained fatal stab wounds. The police statement indicated that the suspects were apprehended following a targeted intelligence operation conducted by regional security units.

According to reports from Citi Newsroom, the victim was a well known trader in the local community. The Ghana Police Service noted that the suspects allegedly attacked the woman at her residence before fleeing the scene with various items. Emergency responders confirmed the victim passed away shortly after the assault took place.
