Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested five people. They are suspected of being part of a group that committed several robberies.
The arrests were made by the Ashanti Regional Police Command. The suspects were apprehended in Kumasi.
During the arrests, police found items believed to have been stolen. Locally made pistols were also recovered.
The Ghana Police Service stated that these individuals are believed to be involved in a series of criminal acts within the region.
An investigation is underway to determine the full extent of their alleged involvement in the robberies.
Authorities are working to return any recovered stolen property to its rightful owners.
