A man suspected of armed robbery is dead after an encounter with police in Nima, Accra. The Ghana Police Service confirmed the incident.
The shooting occurred on Friday. A police officer was on duty when the suspect allegedly tried to rob him.
The suspect attacked the officer in the process. The officer then shot the suspect in self-defense.
The injured suspect was taken for medical attention but later died. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
