Moses Ahiakpornu, the Director of Engineering and Mechanicals at NADMO, has reportedly been assaulted.
The incident happened while he was at his father's funeral in Kpedome near Xevi, Akatsi North District.
He was allegedly attacked by okada riders when he went to buy medicine for his sick son.
His wife and children were also reportedly caught in the attack.
Mr. Ahiakpornu was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Ghana Police Service is investigating the matter.
No arrests have been announced.
Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
